Education

Generosity is the most natural outward expression of an inner attitude of compassion and loving kindness. Faniki, which means prosper in Kiswahili, is a connotation that brings our organization to life. We have the dire need to prosper wholly; make an impact on others and most importantly

ourselves. Through our projects, we reach out to disadvantaged school children and enhance their education by donating books and other crucial amenities that they need. It takes generosity to support others: this is our driving force. We want to spread the prosperity across the continent; Africa. Our skills, talents and networks that we have created over time is what we want to synergize and give back to society in more than one way. Faniki Africa is proof that young people have all it takes to change the world. We are living up to the name.

   Sustainable Development

Sustainable Development

Faniki Africa aims to have more sustainable community development. The concept we are using is ‘showing how to fish instead of giving the fish’. Faniki Africa’s greatest intent is creating a more independent society. By showing the needy ‘how to fish’ poverty will be transformed to opportunity, hunger into abundance and unemployment into innovation. We will have shifted from the dependency model to the independent model.

    Girl & Boy Child Empowerment

Girl & Boy Child Empowerment

Faniki aims at empowering both girls and boys so that they can be able to maximize their potential regardless of their circumstances. Thus we focus on counselling and empowering students and providing help where necessary such as providing sanitary towels, books and renovating schools. We also try not to discredit the empowerment of the girl child but strike a gender balance. The boy child is perishing and gradually being overtaken by the girl child. For some boys the transition to adulthood is more difficult. Some boys became victims of crime and substance abuse at young age and suffer mental health problems such as depression. Others perform poorly in school or even drop out and engage in child labour. Thus our aim is to help both girls and boys in the society.

   Economic Empowerment

Economic Empowerment

Faniki aims at investing in economic empowerment which sets a direct path towards gender equality, poverty eradication and inclusive economic growth. The youth can make enormous contributions to economies, whether in businesses, on farms, as entrepreneurs or employees. Hence, through our various networks we work on empowering upcoming entrepreneurs, nurturing talented youth and in addition we are working on establishing an enterprise hub in the future.
